  • Barcelona. Located in northeastern Spain, Barcelona is one of the country’s top travel destinations because it offers everything tourists look for in a European city from historic architecture to lively shopping, vibrant culture and buzzing nightlife. Unique to Barcelona are the architectural marvels of Spain’s famous architect, Antoni Gaudi, which include the Casa Batllo and the famous Sagrada Familia church. Both of these extraordinary structures feature combinations of fascinating designs, shapes and colors. Popular activities in Barcelona include strolling along La Rambla, a tree-lined pedestrian avenue, and sunbath on Barceloneta, one of the city’s most popular beaches.


  • Granada. Located at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains of southern Spain, Granada is the capital of the Granada province. Granada offers a perfect blend of traditional cultures, an animated nightlife and spectacular attractions including the world famous Alhambra, a pinnacle of Moorish art that encapsulates Andalusian history. This medieval complex overlooking Granada is one of the great architectural sights of Europe, with many visitors coming to Granada expressly to see the Alhambra. The last Moorish stronghold in Europe, the Alhambra offers the visitor splendid ornamental architecture, spectacular and lush gardens, cascading and dripping water features, and breathtaking views of the city below.
  • Madrid. Spain’s capital and largest city, Madrid, is widely known for its sizzling nightlife scene. The city constitutes a diversity of ethnic groups, making it one of Europe’s most colorful cosmopolitan cities. Located within the city center are most of Madrid’s most popular tourist attractions such as the Royal Palace, the residence of Spain’s monarch. The heart of Madrid (and Spain) is Puerta del Sol, a large plaza serving as the scene of festivals, important gatherings and street performers as well as a hub for the public transportation network. Another important square is Plaza Mayor, known for the lively San Miguel Market.

World Time

At the traveling time, it is often necessary to adapt to local time, especially when transferring to another transport. I am very interested to know where I am going: to the 'future' or to the 'past', and for how many hours. The time zone map helps with this. I only need to click on country to see the time!

Italy   Italy is a traveller’s paradise. From snow capped mountains to lazy Mediterranean beaches and from unspoilt villages to bustling cities, it has something to offer every visitor. Being a history buff, I decide to visit Rome, Florence and Venice on my trip to Italy.   Rome, the capital of Italy is also called the ‘Eternal City’. My first stop is the Vatican City. Here I visit the Sistine Chapel, the official residence of the Pope, and St. Peters Basilica, one of the greatest churches in the world. I come out of the cathedral and stroll around the square, built by Bernini, soaking in the beauty of the place. My next stop is the Colosseum. Built for 50,000 spectators, it is the biggest amphitheatre in the world.   With canals for streets, Venice is truly unique. The perfect way to see the beauty of Venice is to lose oneself in the labyrinth of its alleys and canals. I fulfill my long standing dream by taking a gondola ride down the Grand Canal. Prague. This gem of the Vltava river has an 1100 year history of being culturally grand and important. Prague has been the capital of Bohemia and of the Roman Empire. It flourished during both the Gothic and Renaissance eras. It is still the largest city in the Czech Republic and one of the most culturally rich and diverse, and has architectural and artistic highlights from many different centuries and architectural aesthetics.  Prague  is one of the top ten most visited European cities, with a good look at the tapestry of a millennium of architecture. Top sites include architecture like castles and cathedrals, the picturesque Charles Bridge. Lovers of Kafka can see his home and the cemetery where he was buried.
